User agreement

The user agreement between Infrabel and the rail operator defines the respective rights and duties of each party. This stipulates, among other things, the provisions concerning safety requirements, services and products, compensation and payment schedules.

Framework agreement

Infrabel may conclude a framework agreement with rail operators, the deadline for which is prior to that of a timetable planning period. This agreement contains clauses concerning infrastructure capacity and fees.

In general, this type of framework agreement is concluded for a period of five years. Naturally, it may not oppose the infrastructure's use by other candidates or service providers.
