Admission of rolling stock

The rolling stock that travels and/or works directly on the tracks (tracks that are in or out of service) must have an admission certificate. To obtain an admission certificate, the conformity of the relevant stock with the applicable legal provisions is examined.

The Rail Safety and Interoperability Agency (DVIS / SSICF) is responsible for granting a certificate for putting rolling stock that uses train paths into service in accordance with the royal decree of 1 July 2014 for the adoption of the legal requirements of the rolling stock for the use of train paths. These requirements relate in particular to the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), the specifications for ETCS braking curves and the functional description of TBL1+.
