They are becoming economic growth nodes where ships make contact with rail traffic. It's a combination that is becoming more and more important with every passing year. Major investments in Belgian harbours Infrabel goes to the limit in promoting multi-modal transport. That's why we are not only investing heavily in improving the railway net in and around Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Ghent, but also in Oostende, Liege, Athus and Brussels where we are actively working on expanding the harbour infrastructure.
