Suppliers
You cannot just become a supplier of Infrabel. As a public undertaking Infrabel is required to follow a number of procedures when appointing suppliers.
There are 3 ways to become eligible as a supplier to Infrabel.
- You register as a potential supplier via the button in the right-hand column. After screening, you may become eligible for an unpublished tender.
- You put yourself forward as a candidate via an announcement on one of the links below.
e-Notification for all government contracts published on a Belgian and European level (formerly “Bulletin der Aanbestedingen/Bulletin des Adjudications” ) - OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union for all tenders that are published on a European level)
- If you are a supplier of a number of strategic products or services, you can also take part in a qualification procedure. If you are successful, you will be included on our shortlist. This procedure is completely independent of purchasing. As and when these products or services are to be purchased, several of the qualified companies will be consulted. The full procedure is explained below.
Qualification procedure for suppliers
There are 2 types of qualification procedures. You follow a certain procedure, depending on the product or service.
Here, you can see a complete summary of the different products and services and their corresponding procedures. (Only in French)
Normal quality procedure
The quality of the suppliers is evaluated by our colleagues from the relevant technical service (depending on the product) and the special ‘approval’ unit that takes care of quality control. The evaluation encompasses 3 stages:
- Administrative questionnaire
- Visit to the manufacturing site
- Tests set forth in the technical provision
A detailed document clarifying the full procedure can be found here.
Simplified quality procedure
Here, the respective technical service and the ‘approval’ unit also evaluate the quality of the supplier. This evaluation encompasses two stages.
- Administrative questionnaire
- Tests set forth in the technical provision
A detailed document clarifying the full procedure can be found here.
