Station projects

Over the coming years, Infrabel is to make substantial investments in renovating the infrastructure in stations and at stops in order to improve accessibility and ease-of-use for travellers.

Platforms will be elevated to make getting on and off trains easier and will be extended in order to accommodate longer trains. Covers, escalators and stairs will be renewed and, where possible, lifts will be provided for less able travellers. Underpasses will also be widened and levels of natural light will be raised so that the sense of security is increased.

In short, we are carrying out a series of infrastructure tasks that will ensure that stations and stopping points meet the requirements of the 21^st century traveller.
